The 2nd Floor South Wing of Quezon Hall, UP-Diliman was hit by a fire around 9pm, Sunday, Aug 15. Naagapan naman daw at madaling naapula ang sunog sabi nung mamang guard.

Well actually DAPAT LANG!!! Overkill sa dami ng firetrucks kanina. As if yung buong Quezon Hall ang nasusunog kahit di naman…hahaha
Ayun, bilang tapos na yung fire, nagpaka-productive nalang kami. Nag-picture taking kami gamit ang aming mga phone. Hahaha!!!

Siyanga pala, bilang nasa 2nd Floor South Wing yata ang Human Resource Department Office at ang Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, una sa mga nasigaw ko nung nakita naming ang Quezon Hall nga ang nasusunog ay…
“ANG SUWELDO NAMIN!!!”
hahaha, laughtrip lang.

Photo is unrelated. hahahahaha
Woah, it is more than a month since I last posted anything in this site. Academics really takes its toll huh.
I was planning to write another 15 People list, which is something I haven’t done for a while now, but I can’t think which higher life forms I would include in the list, along with what I would write about them. Then I planned to post another edition of the Photo Blog but I remembered it takes a long time to finish one, because I would need to look for pictures again. So I’ll be blogging about one song that I really liked ever since I heard it.
I’m talking about Sana by Nikki Gil (or Kasama Ka), aired in a Coke commercial way way back.
Anyhow, as it turns out, the commercial also has an English and a Spanish version. Further research informed me that the song was actually based on the song I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to be Free by Nina Simone. Quite a long title isn’t it? Hahaha. The links also brought me to a cover of the song by The Lighthouse Family, entitled (I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be) Free/One. I immediately liked the song (and yeah, I didn’t know it was already around for ages). Hehehehe
All these years I know that there was a longer version of the song by Nikki Gil, however I was never able to find it (haha, just like the Twin Hearts song), until today. In the past, all my YouTube search queries turned out the stuff I already have or know, but I can’t remember what happened earlier today (I think I tried another search query at Google) and tada!!! I now have the longer version. Apparently the term “akafellas” was the only thing lacking in my queries, or else I could have found the longer version long ago. Weeeh!!!
June 9, 2010 was a quite eventful day even if I only have two classes cheduled during Wednesdays.
First off, it was the airing of the season finale of Glee. I had a 3-4 class so I was panicking because I might not catch the start of the episode. Good thing we were dismissed early by the professor so I headed directly to a certain place to be able to watch it (sorry to those who deserved apologies). Although the outcome of the episode was kinda predictable, I was really saddened by the fact that New Directions lost. Ugh. Biases aside, their Journey Medley was better than Vocal Adrenaline’s Bohemian Rhapsody. For a moment there I hated Josh Groban and Olivia Newton-John, hahaha. And speaking of those two, I really wanted to hear Aural Intensity’s Mash-up, too bad Glee didn’t really air it. Oh, and by the way, Jonathan Groff got a five-inch scar when they were filming their number.
Moving on, I met up with the DilNet/UnPLUG guys at McDO Q.Ave for the ABS-CBN taping thingy. Well, actually it was the taping of the first episode of a new show of ANC, Future Perfect (showing later, 7pm, I think). UnPLUG BD Rystraum and current President JP were interviewed about Halalan, the open-source automated election thingy developed by UnPLUG.

Eye-raising side-comments and iPad ads aside, it was a nice experience. We went to ANC’s news room afterwards where they were airing/filming live the news for that evening.

More pics of the taping here. It’s kinda crappy though, I just used my phone.
Well, the next big thing that happened was the fire at the Chemistry Pavilion. I was already in the dorm when I heard that it was happening so I wasn’t able to witness it. I took pics of the area yesterday, and after staying there for around two minutes, my head kinda hurt. haha
Oh well…
After being “busy” doing stuff inside the dorm, I finally took notice on the loud, ongoing sirens I heard. It was clear that it could be an ambulance or firetruck so I thought it may just be passing by CP Garcia but I was hearing it too long so I decided to ask the Guard. What she told me made me say “oh shit”.
The Chemistry Pavilion II was on fire. The Chemistry Pavilion. Fire. I was walking near that place minutes before.
I wanted to see the fire personally but my friends told me it was not a good idea. And yeah of course, it was ChemPav, a lot of volatile stuff are there.
I’ll update this article when I get pictures of the area later.
Ugh, I can’t even express how frustrated I am. My world just crashed and if only I am not afraid of cuts, maybe I have bleeding arms right now.
My processors are overloading with I-do-not-know-what-exactlies lately. It seems I need a little break so I am reconnecting with people I have not talked with for a while, people who are not the usual crowd I am with, people that are usually just acquaintances, just to able to get that little break I need. And gosh it works.
I need a breath of fresh air.
Kung gagawing tag cloud ang buhay ko, ano kayang itsura? hehehe…working on it.
Okay, I am several days late. Most people have already seen the 19th episode last Wednesday or have downloaded it somewhere on the Internet but I, on the other hand, only saw it yesterday during the encore telecast of Glee on ETC.
It was nice. Before I saw the episode, I was asking myself how the hell Artie could have danced. Well, my thoughts were proved right when I saw that he was only dreaming. There is one thing that I was VERY disappointed about though, Brittany never said a single line. It was like she was an extra. Again. I only saw her in what seems to be three or four scenes. It is no secret that I’ve got a huge crush on that stereotypical dumb blonde, and that’s the reason why I’m disappointed.
Well, she got more lines than usual on the previous episode though.
Oh, by the way. On the season finale, Olivia Newton-John and Josh Groban guest stars again as themselves. They would be the judges of the Regionals, together with Sue Sylvester. Also, we would see Quinn’s mom, Judy Fabray, again. Maybe because of the fact that Quinn would give birth on that episode.
PS – I didn’t notice if Puck’s hair was back to Mohawk.
